AI Innovation Lab
Applied AI labs where students build, train and critique real AI systems — moving from consumers of AI to architects who can reason about what it does, where it fails, and what it should and should not be used for.
Overview
AI Innovation Lab
The AI Innovation Lab takes students from prompt to working prototype. They build and train models, then audit them for bias, accuracy and harm.
The point is not to celebrate the technology but to understand it: how it works, where it breaks, and the ethical judgement it demands.
What students build
- Build and train a working AI model from real data
- Engineer prompts and evaluate model output
- Run a bias and failure-mode audit
- Ship a small working prototype and present it
Outcomes
- Genuine AI literacy, not just usage
- Critical thinking and ethical reasoning
- A portfolio prototype and the vocabulary to defend it
